It always made me uncomfortable. To me it had little to do with love, but more to do with judgement and conformity. "Do you believe what I believe?" If yes, then good. If no, then you are wrong. And if you have questions, you are wrong. My salvation came in finding the United Church, where questioning and differing opinions are accepted and encouraged.
